TIPS FROM NELI’S KITCHEN
Recipe Notes and Tips
- Use unsweetened fruit juices and sparkling water for the healthiest non-alcoholic Christmas drinks.
- Don’t add ice if you are making it ahead of time as it will dilute the drink.
Make ahead
You can easily make this festive holiday punch a day ahead of when you plan to serve it. Don’t add the ice cubes as these will dilute the drink, and just keep it covered in the fridge. You can then pour it over ice or add ice cubes to the pitcher just before serving.
Make it a cocktail
If you prefer, you can easily turn this mocktail into a cocktail by adding your favorite alcohol. Vodka, gin, rum, prosecco, champagne, sparkling wine like Riesling, and brandy will all work great, or try adding an orange-flavored liqueur, like Grand Marnier.
Serving
You can pour the holiday punch straight into glasses as it is, but feel free to have fun with the garnishes on a special occasion. You can rim the glasses with sugar and roll orange peel or use orange slices to decorate the glass. You can also serve it with lime slices or other citrus slices you have on hand.
You can also double or triple the recipe and pour it into a large punch bowl for your large holiday party. Use a ladle to serve the punch.
